Can anyone exlplain it? The knocking occurs at the back/centre of the car when I brake hard at low speed (eg in traffic or speed bumps) and when I accelerate away. I thought it was the brakes but I had the rear brake pads and discs changed and the knocking noise is still there. It sounds as if it is coming from underneath the back seat of the car and sounds like something is loose and banging against something else. Someone suggested it may be a loose exhaust connection but I'm not sure. It only occurs on breaking at slow speeds and there is no difference to the drive of the car. Can anyone help out please?
