First this will be kinda a intro and need help post.

Picked up my first a Saab a 1993 9000 CSE auto with traction controll 3 months ago for short money. I needed a new daily for awhile. Well its been great up to last week. Stoped on my way home from work at the store shut the car off and when i came out the car would not start without giving it a little gas then it wont idle and stalls out. The check engine light and TCS light is on. Did a little reading around on the net and found out the car is in limp home mode did some more reading and checked all the vac. lines and other stuff and they all checked out as far as I could tell. I dont have a scanner for this car only newer OBD2 stuff. I did the old trick of turning the key on and off 3 times. The engine light flashed 5 times then 6 times a little more reading the 5 flashes is for the throttle body and 6 is for the 02 sensor. A friend of a friend is a retired Saab tech that still does a little work on the side. Brought the car over to him and he confirmed that the throttle body is bad how im not sure. Now I found a local place that rebuilds TB's or will exchange them I just have to call in the morning to see if they have or can fix this one.

In my reading I read somewhere that when you replace the TB that it has to be calibrated and you need a GM tech2 or ISAT scanner is that info correct?

Would I be correct in assuming that the 02 is trippping out because of the TB or is the 02 causing the TB to freak out?

Any other ideas before I replace any parts?

Ive been working on cars for a long time just never delt with Saabs so its all new to me. Where this is my daily im kinda on a time table with this.

Thanks i advance
