Okay so here's the story. Two nights ago I started it up late at night (30 degrees out) and there was a whining noise coming from the front of the car drove with it for 12 minutes and the noise was gone. Yesterday morning I started it up whining noise was there and then went away almost immediately so i figured I was fine. Got to work at 8am and it was good. I went to go out to lunch turned the car on and the check engine light was on and as I was on the merging onto 495 it felt like there was a lag when I was accelerating. What could this be?
