all GM now? i live 70 miles from the nearest saab dealership in northern wisconsin and am thinking about buying a used one............can a regular GM dealer service them or would i have to drive 140 mls rt to see the dealer?

I don't think so!
I think it can only be serviced at Saturn/Hammer/Saab dealers. a.k.a orphan GM makes.
