how do you drain the coolant on a 2.3 motor?

I have a 95 900 w/2.3 motor..How do you drain the coolant. I did not see a drain valve on the radiator. If I take the plug out on the water pump an run the motor wil this completely drain it.....
What is the easier lower hose to pull it that is best?
