How can I program / access the computer for my Saab 9-5?

I have a Saab 9-5 Wagon (2004) that I'd like to check out the computer for, and possibly program some options. Not engine performance - I know there are programs for that, like the BSR PPC, but just little convenience things, and just get an idea for what I can do.

Is there a site somewhere that gives instructions on how to access the computer? I don't mind buying some equipment if it's not too pricey, but I'd think a certain amount can just be done with the onboard information panel.
