have a 08 saab 9 7x that somtimes gets stuck in 1st gear, any suggestions?

took it to dealer, they check gear censors and replace a wire that ran from computer to censors. not sure if they replaced gear censors. they thought they had fixed the issue but when i picked it up the problem happened again later in the day. from a stop got stuck in first and would not shift in to other gears. had to come to a complete stop and then it was fine. help!

Has the check engine light come on? If so, what were the codes?
Is it starting out in first and not upshifting, or is it starting out in a higher gear (like third)?
Are their any other symptoms (for example, speedometer inop)?
