How Much To Offer For A 2001 Saab 9-5?

I found a 2001 Saab 9-5 for sale at a local repair shop that specializes in Saab's. I haven't been able to test drive it yet, but based on the outside it looks like its been well kept. Its the exact car that I've been looking for so I want to snatch it up as soon as possible. Its the "base" model 2001 Saab 9-5 4 Cyl engine, automatic, sunroof and leather. They're asking $6000. I checked KBB and its private party value is $4260 and retail its $6235, because its not a real dealer and its not on someones lawn I think its worth something in between those two values. Anyway, I'm thinking about offering $5000 cash, do you think they would accept that offer?
